Ingredients

1 lb ground chicken

1 cup fresh spinach, finely chopped

1/2 cup shredded white cheddar cheese

1/4 cup breadcrumbs

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 clove garlic, minced

1 tsp onion powder

1 tsp paprika

1/2 tsp salt

1/4 tsp black pepper

1 tbsp olive oil

4 burger buns

Fresh lettuce and tomato slices for serving

Optional: Mayonnaise or aioli for topping

Instructions

Prepare the Mixture: In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, chopped spinach, shredded white cheddar, breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan, minced garlic, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix until all ingredients are well incorporated.

Form the Patties: Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape each portion into a patty, about 1 inch thick.

Cook the Patties: Heat the olive oil in a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the chicken patties and cook for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C) and they develop a nice golden-brown crust.

Toast the Buns: During the last couple of minutes of cooking, slice the burger buns in half and place them cut-side down in the skillet to lightly toast them.

Assemble the Burgers: Place each cooked chicken burger on the toasted bottom half of a bun. Top with fresh lettuce, tomato slices, and a dollop of mayonnaise or aioli if desired. Cover with the top half of the bun.

Serve: Serve the burgers hot with your choice of sides such as sweet potato fries or a fresh salad.
