Ingredients

2 cups all-purpose flour

1/2 cup almond flour

1/4 cup granulated sugar

1 tablespoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened

1/2 cup milk (or dairy alternative)

1/4 cup honey

1 large egg

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 teaspoon almond extract

Sliced almonds, for topping

Powdered sugar, for dusting (optional)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, almond flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt. Whisk until well blended.

Cream Butter and Honey: In another bowl, cream together the softened butter and honey until fluffy. Add the egg, milk, vanilla extract, and almond extract. Mix well until fully combined.

Combine Mixtures: Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry mixture, stirring gently until just combined. Be careful not to overmix; the dough should be slightly sticky.

Shape the Buns: Dust your hands with flour and scoop out portions of the dough (about 1/4 cup each) to shape them into rough balls. Place them on the prepared baking sheet, about 2 inches apart.

Add Toppings: Lightly press a few sliced almonds onto the tops of each bun for added texture and crunch.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 15-18 minutes or until the buns are golden brown on top and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.

Cool and Dust: Remove from the oven and let them cool on a wire rack for a few minutes. If desired, dust with powdered sugar before serving.
