Ingredients

1 pound ground lamb

1/2 cup breadcrumbs

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)

1 teaspoon ground cumin

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1 large egg, beaten

1 tablespoon olive oil (for frying)

1 cup marinara sauce (for serving)

Instructions

Prepare the Meatball Mixture: In a large bowl, combine the ground lamb, breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, chopped parsley, minced garlic, red pepper flakes, ground cumin, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix thoroughly.

Add the Egg: Pour the beaten egg into the mixture and blend it in until just combined. Avoid overmixing to keep the meatballs tender.

Form the Meatballs: Using your hands, scoop out about 2 tablespoons of the mixture and roll it into balls. Place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Repeat until all ingredients are formed into meatballs.

Cook the Meatballs: Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the meatballs in batches, cooking for about 6-8 minutes, turning occasionally until they are browned on all sides and cooked through. Use a meat thermometer to ensure they reach an internal temperature of 160°F (70°C).

Serve with Sauce: In a separate pan, warm the marinara sauce over medium heat. Once heated, add the cooked meatballs to the sauce and gently toss to coat.

Garnish and Serve: Serve the spicy lamb meatballs hot, garnished with extra chopped parsley and a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese. Enjoy with crusty bread, over pasta, or in wraps!
