Ingredients

1 lb breakfast sausage (pork or turkey)

8 oz cream cheese, softened

1 tsp garlic powder

1/2 tsp onion powder

1/2 tsp dried oregano

1/4 tsp black pepper

1 package (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough

1/4 cup chopped green onions (optional)

1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Cooking spray (for greasing)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a baking sheet with cooking spray.

In a large skillet, cook the breakfast sausage over medium heat until browned and cooked through, breaking it apart with a spatula as it cooks. Drain excess grease if needed.

Reduce heat to low and stir in the softened cream cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, dried oregano, and black pepper. Mix until smooth and well combined. (Optional: add chopped green onions for an extra flavor boost.)

Remove the skillet from heat and allow the mixture to cool slightly.

Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into individual triangles on a clean surface.

Place about 1 tablespoon of the sausage and cream cheese mixture at the wide end of each triangle.

Roll up each triangle from the wide end towards the point, wrapping the filling securely inside. Pinch the edges to seal.

Place the rolled crescents on the prepared baking sheet. Brush the tops with the beaten egg for a golden finish.

Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown and puffed up.

Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
