1 can of wild-caught sardines in olive oil (about 3-4 sardines)

2 slices of whole grain bread

1 ripe avocado

1 clove garlic, minced

1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley

Salt and pepper to taste

Optional: red pepper flakes for some heat

Optional: a few slices of ripe tomato
