Ingredients

1 lb (450g) chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces

1 cup all-purpose flour

2 large eggs

1 cup breadcrumbs (panko preferred for extra crunch)

1/2 tsp salt

1/2 tsp black pepper

1/2 tsp garlic powder

1/2 tsp paprika

1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter

1/2 cup honey

1 tbsp soy sauce

1 tsp apple cider vinegar

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Prepare the Chicken: In a bowl, season the chicken pieces with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Mix well to ensure the chicken is evenly coated with the spices.

Set Up Breading Stations: In three separate shallow dishes, place the flour in one, the beaten eggs in the second, and the breadcrumbs in the third.

Bread the Chicken: Dip each piece of seasoned chicken first into the flour, ensuring it's coated, then into the eggs, and finally coat well with the breadcrumbs. Set aside on a plate.

Fry the Chicken: In a large skillet, heat about 1/2 inch of vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, carefully add the breaded chicken pieces in batches, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Fry until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-6 minutes per side. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to drain any excess oil.

Make the Honey Butter Sauce: In a small saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over low heat. Add the honey, soy sauce, and apple cider vinegar, stirring until well combined. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer, then remove from heat.

Combine: Place the fried chicken pieces in a large mixing bowl. Pour the warm honey butter sauce over the chicken, tossing gently to ensure each piece is coated in the delicious glaze.

Serve: Serve the honey butter chicken warm, garnished with freshly chopped parsley. Enjoy with steamed rice, mashed potatoes, or a fresh salad!
