Ingredients

1 pound fresh salmon fillet, skin removed and cut into bite-size pieces

1/2 cup all-purpose flour

1 tablespoon cornstarch

1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

1/4 teaspoon onion powder

1/4 teaspoon paprika

Salt and pepper to taste

1/4 cup vegetable oil (for frying)

3 tablespoons honey

3 tablespoons soy sauce

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated

1 tablespoon green onions, chopped (for garnish)

Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

Prepare the Breading: In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, cornstarch, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well to create a seasoned flour mixture.

Coat the Salmon: Dredge each piece of salmon in the flour mixture, ensuring each piece is well coated. Shake off any excess flour.

Heat the Oil: In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Ensure the oil is hot before adding the salmon to achieve a crispy texture.

Fry the Salmon: Add the coated salmon bites to the skillet, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Fry for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy. Remove the cooked salmon bites and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to absorb excess oil.

Prepare the Honey Garlic Sauce: In a small bowl, mix together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and grated ginger.

Glaze the Salmon: In the same skillet, drain excess oil, then pour the honey garlic sauce into the pan over medium heat. Allow it to simmer for about 1 minute. Add the crispy salmon bites back into the skillet, gently tossing them in the sauce until they are well-coated.

Serve: Transfer the glazed salmon bites to a serving plate. Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds. Serve hot as an appetizer or main dish!
