Ingredients

8 oz fettuccine pasta

2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

2 tablespoons olive oil

Salt and pepper, to taste

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Cook the Pasta: In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Cook the fettuccine pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving some pasta water.

Prepare the Chicken: While the pasta is cooking, season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the chicken breasts and sear for about 6-7 minutes on each side until cooked through and golden brown. Remove from the skillet and let it rest before slicing.

Make the Creamy Sauce: In the same skillet (do not wipe it clean), reduce the heat to medium. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Pour in the heavy cream, stirring to combine with the garlic.

Add Cheese and Seasoning: Slowly stir in the grated Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes (if using). Continue stirring until the cheese has melted and the sauce is creamy. If the sauce is too thick, add a little reserved pasta water to reach your desired consistency.

Combine Pasta and Sauce: Add the drained fettuccine to the skillet and toss to coat the pasta evenly with the creamy sauce. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper to taste.

Serve: Slice the pan-seared chicken and place on top of the creamy pasta. Garnish with fresh parsley. Serve immediately and enjoy your delicious meal!
