Creamy Garlic Butter Chicken and Rotini in Parmesan Sauce

1 lb (450g) boneless, skinless chicken breasts

8 oz (225g) rotini pasta

4 tbsp (60g) unsalted butter

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup (240ml) heavy cream

1 cup (100g) grated Parmesan cheese

1 tsp Italian seasoning

Salt and black pepper to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

1 cup (240ml) chicken broth

Optional: Red pepper flakes for heat

Cook the Pasta: In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the rotini and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

    Prepare the Chicken: Season both sides of the chicken breasts generously with salt and black pepper.

      Sauté the Chicken: In a large skillet over medium heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter. Add the chicken breasts and cook for 6-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and let it rest on a cutting board for a few minutes before slicing into strips.

        Make the Garlic Butter Sauce: In the same skillet, add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter. Once melted, add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.

          Add Cream and Broth: Pour in the heavy cream and chicken broth. Stir well to combine, then add Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper to taste. Allow the mixture to simmer for 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally.

            Incorporate Parmesan: Gradually add the grated Parmesan cheese into the sauce, stirring until fully melted and creamy.

              Combine Pasta and Chicken: Add the cooked rotini and sliced chicken back into the skillet. Toss everything together to ensure the pasta and chicken are well coated with the creamy sauce. If desired, sprinkle red pepper flakes for an extra kick.
