Ingredients

1 pound ground beef or turkey

1 packet taco seasoning

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1 cup jalapeños, diced (optional)

1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough

1 egg (for egg wash)

Olive oil (for brushing)

Fresh cilantro, chopped (for garnish)

Salsa or sour cream (for dipping)

Instructions

Preheat the oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Cook the meat: In a large skillet, over medium heat, cook the ground beef or turkey until browned. Drain excess grease if necessary.

Season the meat: Add the taco seasoning according to package instructions, stirring well and cooking for an additional 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool for a few minutes.

Prepare the dough: Roll out the crescent roll dough on a lightly floured surface. Pinch the seams together to create a solid sheet.

Fill the dough: Spread a generous amount of the taco meat mixture in the center of each crescent triangle, adding a mixture of cheddar, mozzarella cheese, and jalapeños on top.

Roll it up: Carefully roll each triangle tightly from the wide end to the tip, making sure the filling stays inside.

Prepare for baking: Place the rolled taco sticks on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Beat the egg in a small bowl and brush it on top of each stick. Drizzle with olive oil for extra crispiness.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown and puffed up.

Garnish and serve: Once baked, remove from the oven and let cool for a couple of minutes. Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve with salsa or sour cream on the side.
