Ingredients

1 lb ground beef

1/2 cup diced onion

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese

1 package (1 lb) refrigerated pizza dough

1 cup diced tomatoes

1/4 cup dill pickles, finely chopped

1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Ketchup and mustard for serving

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Cook the Beef Mixture: In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat. Add the diced onion and minced garlic to the skillet and sauté until the onion becomes translucent, about 3-4 minutes.

Season the Filling: Stir in the salt, black pepper, and Worcestershire sauce. Cook for an additional 2 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.

Add Cheese and Veggies: Once the beef mixture has cooled, fold in the shredded Cheddar cheese, diced tomatoes, and chopped pickles.

Prepare Dough: Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface until it’s about 1/4 inch thick. Cut the dough into rectangles, roughly 4x5 inches in size.

Fill the Pockets: Place a generous spoonful of the beef mixture in the center of each dough rectangle. Fold the dough over to create a pocket, pressing the edges together to seal. Use a fork to crimp the edges for an extra seal.

Apply Egg Wash: Arrange the pockets on the prepared baking sheet and brush the tops with the beaten egg.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until the pockets are golden brown and cooked through.

Serve: Allow to cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy with ketchup and mustard on the side!
