Ingredients

1 lb ground beef (80/20 blend)

1/2 cup pimento cheese (store-bought or homemade)

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

Salt and pepper to taste

4 hamburger buns

4 slices of sharp cheddar cheese

1 cup arugula or lettuce

Slices of fresh tomato

Pickles (optional)

Olive oil for grilling

Instructions

Make the Burger Mixture: In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix gently with your hands until combined, being careful not to overwork the meat.

Form the Patties: Divide the mixture into four equal portions and gently form each portion into a patty, about 1 inch thick.

Stuff with Pimento Cheese: Make an indentation in the center of each patty and spoon about 1 tablespoon of pimento cheese into the indentation. Carefully fold the meat over to seal the cheese inside and reshape the patty to ensure it is closed tightly.

Preheat the Grill: Heat your grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Brush the grill grates with olive oil to prevent sticking.

Grill the Burgers: Place the stuffed patties on the hot grill and cook for about 5-6 minutes on one side. Flip the burgers carefully and place a slice of cheddar cheese on top of each patty. Cook for an additional 4-5 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the burger is cooked to your desired doneness.

Toast the Buns: During the last minute of cooking, place the hamburger buns on the grill cut-side down and toast until golden brown.

Assemble the Burgers: Remove the patties from the grill. On the bottom half of each bun, layer the arugula, followed by the burger patty with melted cheese, a slice of fresh tomato, and pickles if desired. Top with the other half of the bun.

Serve: Serve the burgers immediately with your favorite sides, such as fries or a crisp salad. Enjoy!
