Ingredients

6 large eggs

1 cup whole milk

1 cup all-purpose flour

1/4 cup granulated sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 cup unsalted butter (melted)

Optional toppings: fresh fruits (berries, apples), powdered sugar, maple syrup, or lemon juice

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Place a large cast-iron skillet or a 9x13 inch baking dish in the oven while it preheats.

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, flour, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and salt until smooth. Ensure there are no lumps, and the mixture is well combined.

Once the oven reaches temperature, carefully remove the hot skillet or baking dish. Immediately pour the melted butter into the skillet, swirling it around to coat the bottom evenly.

Quickly pour the pancake batter into the hot skillet over the melted butter. Return the skillet to the oven.

Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the pancake has puffed up and the edges are golden brown and crisp.

Remove the pancake from the oven and allow it to cool for a few minutes. It will deflate slightly as it cools.

Slice into wedges and serve warm with your choice of toppings such as fresh fruits, powdered sugar, maple syrup, or a squeeze of lemon juice.
