2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon ginger, grated

1 green onion, finely sliced

1 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds

Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

Cook Udon Noodles: Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add udon noodles and cook according to package instructions (usually about 3-4 minutes). Once cooked, drain and rinse with cold water to prevent sticking.

Prepare Chili Oil Mixture: In a large mixing bowl or directly in the pan, combine the chili oil, soy sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Mix well until combined.

Combine Noodles and Sauce: Add the cooked udon noodles to the chili oil mixture and toss to coat evenly. Make sure every noodle is well-covered in the spicy sauce.

Add Flavor Boosters: Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Toss in the sliced green onion and sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds for added texture and flavor.

Serve and Garnish: If you’re using additional toppings like bok choy or a soft-boiled egg, now’s the time to add them. Serve immediately either hot or at room temperature. Enjoy your quick and flavorful meal!
